I started this brand because of my deep love and appreciation of colored gemstones. It all began with my love for Tsavorite, which struck my soul and remains one of my favorite gemstones to this day. Henry Platt, the former chairman and CEO of Tiffany & Co., who gave the gemstone its name, referred to Tsavorite as "the Rolls Royce of the Green," and I couldn't agree more! I learned about gemstones on my own and had a hands-on experience. I fell in love with vibrant spinels, chrysoberyl, mandarin garnet, rubellite, and all of the amazing color spectrum of tourmalines, among many others. I wanted to give people the opportunity to discover their beauty too. What I noticed was that most of these beautiful gemstones were unfortunately not very common in the US market, and that is how the brand started.
SONYA K. focuses on creating modern, versatile, wearable, and timeless pieces. In today's world, we are constantly on the move, so it is essential for me to design pieces that can accommodate our fast-paced lives and transform on the go, like our signature TAYLOR necklace, which can transform from a tennis necklace into a more elevated look. Additionally, we focus on designing pieces that can work together, so you can build a beautiful jewelry collection that will portray your unique style.
I want to empower you through beautiful minimalistic designs with vibrant gemstones. I want people to wear their jewelry.
